Meet the Editors

Editor-in-Chief
Jacob Brower is a writer, editor, and independent book seller from Downers Grove, Illinois. He graduated from Ithaca College in 2012, where he majored in writing and minored in religious studies. Next year he’ll be attending New York University to pursue his MFA in fiction. His short fiction, poetry, and feature writing have been published in Midwestern Gothic, Stillwater, and Imprint. Writers who inspire him include Zadie Smith, Pablo Neruda, and David Foster Wallace. Co-Founding Editors

Caitlin Ghegan is a senior writing major, web programming minor, and tutor at Ithaca College, as well as a publishing intern at Split Oak Press. When she isn’t staying up until sunrise writing academic papers or various, random pieces, she can be found organizing the ranks of the local community Quidditch team. Liz Glinski graduated from Ithaca College in 2012 with a major in writing and minors in English and deaf studies. She currently lives and works in New York City as an ESL teacher at Pablo Neruda Academy for Architecture and World Studies and is completing her Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language at Hunter College. In her increasingly limited spare time she enjoys tackling the classics she somehow missed in high school and documenting her experiences as a first-year teacher. Danny Golden is an Ithaca College graduate with a professional writing concentration and an art minor from Hatboro, Pennsylvania. Aside from studying and writing, Golden spends his time making music with friends, creating portraits, playing squash, running, hiking, watching Philadelphia sports teams lose, listening to to much Radiohead, reading too much Kurt Vonnegut, and watching too much Breaking Bad. Golden’s tentative creative projects are music recordings, short stories that may or may not evolve into a novel, and a collection of portraits.

 

Jillian Kaplan is currently a senior writing major and anthropology minor at Ithaca College. She is also an intern at Split Oak Press, an independent publisher of creative novels, short story collections, and chapbooks. Jillian is involved with Ithaca College’s Hillel, and acts as the Hillel representative for IC’s interfaith council. She enjoys writing free-verse poetry. She also writes features and reviews for Accent, the arts and entertainment section of Ithaca’s campus newspaper. Some authors that inspire Jillian are Philip K.
